B is for Beyonce.

Family, Fashion

I don’t have a bucket list, but if I did, I would say ” Going to see Beyonce live in concert” would definitely be on that list.

And now I can cross that off my non existent list!

If you know me even a little bit, you would know I am a huge Bey fan. I don’t quote her like the gospel, idolize her,  do all the things she does because she does it, or agree with all the things she believes.

I don’t think anyone should do anything of those things. For anyone.

She is still one of my all time favorites, and being able to see her live gave me an even higher level of respect for her.

How she is able to dance( like that) and sing ( like that! ) for 2 straight hours is beyond me.

I’ve had people tell me they don’t understand why I like her so much, they  think she’s overrated , blah blah blah…

After seeing her for myself and seeing firsthand how amazing of a performer she really is, I was inspired to make a few points about her that I think we could all take something from.

She has been performing since the age of 7. Now being 34, ( do the maaath…carry the 1…) That’s 27 years of her life she’s dedicated to her music. She isn’t like one of those “make it on a reality show and get famous overnight ” stories. Moral of the story: work hard.

She has an all female band
Beyonce stated that she wanted more female role models for young girls. It may not be a big thing to you personally, but it gives the 7 year old girl that wants to play the drums someone to look up to! Good looking out B!

She exudes self confidence
OK, maybe its easy to be confident when you are Beyonce… But still…I think confidence is something so important for every woman…and in that area…Beyonce just owns it.

She’s just an all around Amazing  performer
She has definitely evolved as a performer. A lot of people think she’s gotten a little raunchy, but, at the end of the day, all that raunchiness is directed towards her husband…not some random , one night stand stranger….and there is nothing wrong with that. More power to ya sister wife ✌

Obviously, she is Not perfect, but I respect her for making it as far as she has in life as a female.  She could have quit her day job, and lived a comfortable life with her husband and not have to lift a finger ( how many of us would have been OK with that, amirite!? 😂) but she realized her potential and went after her goals.

We could all learn something from that.

Who knows…you could be the Beyonce of the medical field and find a cure for ____!

Or be a Beyonce of the business world. Own it.

B anything! ( get it, B! Haa)

Don’t set limits for yourself… Set goals!

Now you ladies go out there and Slay✌
